Cottage 1

Number 8 The Strand has the most wonderful ambiance of all the cottages we know in Waiwera.  Why, well  maybe because it is slightly elevated giving an overwhelming feeling of being at one with Waiwera Beach. The living areas flow well with heaps of space, bifold windows to the beach and a small patio just outside the main front door. The main bedroom with a king size bed opens to the garden with a second bedroom furnished with two single bunk beds. To the west a paved covered BBQ area with a thermal spa building leads to a fenced garden area. A semi detached ensuite  bedroom leads from this area.
This beach cottage is owned by an expatriate New Zealander  who lives in Washington, Alaska with his American wife and two daughters who spend six weeks around the beginning of February at Number 8 The Strand each year.
