The information on these pages will, we hope, help you to make a booking at the Coach Trail Villas or Waiwera Beach Cottages. We're in love with the area, the Hibiscus Coast, the Kowhai Coast and the surroundings which make up the Rodney District and enjoy introducing our guests to places we feel are special.
For most of our guests from the greater Auckland area a destination's proximity to Auckland is well worth considering and Waiwera fits this well being just 35 minutes north of Auckland.and out of peak hour traffic its less than 60 minutes from Mangere International Airport. Waiwera is a small village of 250 permanent residents, one dairy, a bar and grill and cafe in the Waiwera Pools. Waiwera is world famous for its therapeutic hot mineral springs and also the award winning bottled Waiwera Water.

So what accommodation do we have?

Definitely the best in Waiwera as we are the only accommodation with thermal pools on site. At the Coach Trail there is something for everyone, affordable family villas and intimate studios for couples as well as upmarket the luxury apartments snuggled around two thermal pools.

On the Waiwera beach, a classic bay enclosed by two headlands, we manage two older style beachfront cottages for absentee owners as well as a cottage three houses up from the water. They're all special in their own way. The waterfront cottages have their own private thermal spas just like spa baths. The three beach cottages are very much Kiwi baches.

Retreats and Meetings at Waiwera

The luxury apartments and the studio villas at Coach Trail Villas provide very special accommodation for small groups. Your meetings would be self catered. BBQs are supplied. So organise your team of six to ten, book relaxing treatments at Waiwera Pools and enjoy the quiet of Waiwera Village.

Family Re-unions

Recommendations and glowing reports from large family groups who have stayed at the Coach Trail Villas read well in the testimonials. There's so much to do in the area and our team is very happy to help you plan your days here. With the smaller number of accommodation units now available it is possible to bring your family to Waiwera by spreading to Waiwera Motel, the Waiwera Camp Ground and other accommodation in the immediate area.

Waiwera Beachfront Cottages

Every one wants to stay in a kiwi bach especially with the bonus of a private thermal spa and that's why the cottages we manage on the Waiwera beachfront are so extremely popular. Once again they're so close to Auckland its easy to make a long weekend Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights leaving early Monday morning for work and school.

Coach Trail Villas
The Coach Trail complex of terraced houses has by thirteen owners. Young families and pensioners alike enjoy this property. Not all the seventeen villas are available for casual accommodation, there's a mix of renters and permanent dwellers. The gardens and grounds are relaxing and casually tidy, the northern aspect of the property makes for a very warm site and the Waiwera Hill to the south protects the villas from those cold southerly winds.
